Holiday Lake

Why travel thousands of miles for vacation when a short trip will find you in surroundings that feel like home away from home?

Eight hundred and thirty people have found Holiday Lake to be that sanctuary where you do as little or as much as you care to. Fishing, swimming, boating, jetskiing, waterskiing, canoeing, paddle boating-it’s all here! Three hundred of us live here full time and enjoy the luxury of feeling like we’re on vacation year round.

Some features exclusive to our lake: common area that includes a sandy beach, beach house, playground, picnic shelter, volleyball court, basketball court, baseball diamond and horseshoes, 3 boat ramps, campgrounds and most recently, a beautiful community center for our various community activities.

Speaking of community activities, you’ll especially enjoy the 4th of July with fabulous fireworks display, paddle boat races, 4-wheeler and golf cart parade, and boat parade. But also during the year we have an Easter egg hunt, annual meeting with potluck, craft show, bake sale, and community breakfast.

You can be as involved as you want to be. Each year residents run as candidates for the Board of Directors. Each Unit has a board member with 3 year terms. There are a variety of committees that are always looking for volunteers: the Water Quality Committee, the Fish Committee, the Silt Committee and more. In 2009, the Water Quality Committee received the “Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence.”

The Holiday Lake area is approximately 755 acres, 122 acres of water, and 18 miles of road. It’s about 30 feet deep at the dam. You can catch bluegill, bass, redear, crappies and walleye. The fishing is great!
